Pip goes for a ride on his scooter at the park. His friend Posy snatches the scooter without asking. She tries to ride it, but she falls off and hurts her knee. Though Pip was cross, he puts his feelings aside to help Posy. Posy says sorry, and the two friends have a big hug before going off to play in the sandpit where it’s nice and soft.
This book is part of the Pip and Posy series by Axel Scheffler. Pip and Posy find themselves in everyday situations that most toddlers & preschoolers will find themselves in. In The Super Scooter children will learn the importance of using manners and asking permission before taking someone else’s belongings. The story also shows children how to be a good friend, by responding with kindness and forgiveness when their toys get snatched by other children. The clear and simple sequence of events makes this an ideal choice for children to practice their story retelling skills. The clear and interesting illustrations also make it a fantastic book to use for children who are practising the /s/ blends in their speech.
